Terms of Service

Welcome to Maevy. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. Please read them — they are meant to be clear and fair.

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Maevy. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Maevy.

2. The service

Maevy is a wellness app for tracking your mood, building gentle habits, and finding meditations, breathing exercises, soundscapes and songs. It supports everyday wellbeing and is not a medical or mental-health service.

3. Your account

You need an account to use Maevy. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and let us know if you suspect any unauthorised use. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. Your content

Everything you log — moods, notes, photos, voice memos and habits — belongs to you. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and process it so we can provide the app, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content you add.

5. Acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Maevy for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't misuse the service, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, resell it, or infringe others' rights. Meditations, songs and other content in the app remain owned by Maevy or its licensors.

6. Subscriptions & payment

  • Maevy has a free tier and an optional Premium subscription, available monthly or yearly, which may start with a free trial.
  • Subscriptions are sold as auto-renewable in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Your subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
  • Prices are shown before you confirm and may vary by region and over time.

7. Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel anytime by turning off auto-renew in your App Store or Google Play account settings; your Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies — please contact them for refund requests.

8. Service availability

We work hard to keep Maevy available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may add, change or remove features, content or sessions over time to improve the app.

9. Not medical advice

Maevy does not provide medical or mental-health diagnosis, treatment or advice. It is not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis or need help, please contact a qualified professional or a local support line.

10. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Maevy is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law, including mandatory consumer rights.

11. Termination

You can stop using Maevy and delete your account at any time — see Delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the app unlawfully. On termination, your right to use the app ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as content ownership, disclaimers and liability) continue to apply.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We will post the new version here and update the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, unless local mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
