Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026
Maevy is a daily wellness companion. We built it to feel personal and quiet, and that includes how we treat your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. In short: your mood entries, notes, photos and voice memos are private by design — we never sell them and never use them for advertising.
1. Information we collect
- Account details — your name and email address when you create an account, so your data can sync across your devices.
- Your entries — the moods, intensities, emotion tones, notes, voice memos, photos, activities and habits you choose to log.
- Practice data — sessions you complete, streaks and reminders you set.
- Purchase data — your subscription status (managed via the App Store, Google Play and RevenueCat). We never see or store your payment card details.
- Technical data — basic device information, an app instance identifier, anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, so we can keep the app stable and improve it.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the app and sync your journal across your devices.
- To personalise the session Maevy recommends for how you feel.
- To send the reminders and notifications you asked for.
- To manage your subscription and entitlements.
- To fix bugs, prevent abuse and improve the experience.
We do not use your data to serve ads, and we do not sell it. We do not use your private entries to train AI models.
3. Your private content
Your mood entries, journal notes, photos and voice memos are private by design. They are never shown in notifications, never shared publicly, never sold and never used for advertising. When you speak a note, the voice-to-text runs on your device — the audio does not leave your phone. Any shareable summaries never include your private notes unless you add them yourself.
4. Information sharing
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We share limited data only with the service providers below, and only as needed to run Maevy, or where required by law.
5. Third-party service providers
- Google Firebase (Google Cloud) — authentication, database, file storage, analytics, crash reporting and push notifications.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Apple App Store & Google Play — to process purchases and subscriptions. Payment details are handled by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies.
- AI generation providers — when you create your own meditation song, the intention text you enter is sent through our secure Cloud Functions to a generation provider to create your track. Your private journal notes are never sent.
6. Data security
Your data is stored with Google Firebase and protected in transit and at rest. We limit access to what is needed to run the service and follow reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it.
7. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete an entry, it is removed from your account. When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted from our live systems, and from backups within 30 days. Anonymous, aggregated statistics that can no longer identify you may be kept to understand overall usage.
8. International data transfers
Maevy is operated from the EU, and our providers (such as Google) may process data on servers in other countries. Where data leaves the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Your rights and choices
You are in control of your data. You can:
- Export your data from within the app.
- Edit or delete individual entries at any time.
- Delete your account and all associated data — see Delete your account.
- Turn notifications and reminders on or off.
If you are in the EU/EEA (or the UK), you have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability. Email us and we will help. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Children's privacy
Maevy is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Not medical advice
Maevy supports everyday wellbeing. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical or mental-health diagnosis or treatment. If you are struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional or a local support line.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date above. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
